Twenty plus years ago, I was looking for a sleeping bag to take on a fly in fishing trip to Alaska. I found the Slumberjack mummy style bag and bought one for myself and my husband. Throughout the years, we have used these bags on countless trips, all over the United States and Canada, in all types of weather. These were by far the best sleeping bags we have ever bought.
Recently Slumberjack sent me the new Women’s Boundary 20 sleeping bag to review, and to say the least, I was thrilled to see what is new. These bags are rated for down to 20° F. The wider and longer design allow you the space you need at night, and keep you comfortable. I am a toss and turner, and I can get claustrophobic even in bed when the blankets get tied up around me. The polyester taffeta liner allows you to move without dragging the bag with you, while the Slumberloft insulation keeps you cozy warm. The shell is an easy to keep clean polyester, and the bag is machine washable. The mummy style “flip over” hood can either be used flat when you are camping in warmer weather, or contoured to help keep you warm on those colder nights. Packed up in the included stuff sack, the size is a small 9″X18″ and just under 3 pounds. Unfolded, the bag measures 73″X 30″. The bag is several shades of grey with pink trim. Just enough pink to keep my husband from taking my bag instead of his.
