Hi Mountain Seasoning, Burger Seasonings ~ Diane Hassinger

I have used Hi Mountain Seasonings in everything from smoking, jerky, canning and cooking. I have always been impressed, and the new burger seasonings are no different, they did not let me down! I have the 3 new flavors; Buffalo Wing and Zesty Western for the burgers, and Bacon Seasoning.

The bacon seasoning uses a 1/4 teaspoon of seasoning on each side of a slice of bacon, then cooked how your prefer. I love the brown sugar peppery taste that infuses the bacon. I made jalapeno bacon poppers using the Bacon Seasoning, and it really enhanced all of the flavors. This was a great addition to our already delicious recipe:

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 12 jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise, seeds and membranes removed
  • 12 slices bacon
  • 1 pound alligator cut in chunks
  • Hi Mountain Seasonings Bacon Seasoning

Mix cream cheese and Cheddar cheese together in a bowl until evenly blended. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mixture and a piece of Alligator.Wrap each jalapeno half with bacon, use a toothpick to hold together, coat each popper with up to 1/2 teaspoon of Bacon Seasoning. Place on preheated grill. Cook on medium heat 12-15 minutes until the bacon is cooked.

The Buffalo Wing Burger Seasoning can be used to turn any burger, meat or even vegetable into a buffalo style dish. I love cauliflower deep fried and then coated with buffalo wing sauce. However we are trying to watch our weight, and I miss intense flavors! I coated cauliflower pieces with egg and bread crumbs mixed with the Buffalo Burger Seasoning and cooked them in my air fryer. They were great! Even though I was trying to make healthier foods, I still dipped the pieces in ranch dressing when I ate them.

The Zesty Western Burger Seasoning has become our favorite go to seasoning. My husband jokes that we need to buy it in 5 gallon pails! Venison burgers seasoned with the Zesty Western are awesome! Definitely the best burger I have ever eaten, and that says a lot, because I love my burgers! All we did was mix in a generous amount of seasoning into the ground venison. After fashioning the burgers, we fried them in a cast iron skillet with a small amount of Olive Oil. Don’t overcook your venison. It was wonderful! Now I also use the Zesty Western on salads with a little Balsamic Vinegar for a delicious dressing. Deviled eggs are taken up a notch with the addition of the Zesty Western, as are french fries (from my Air Fryer of course).
