All bow hunters share the same problem; getting to your tree stand or ground blind without harming your bow. Most bow hunting set-ups are up and down hills, across creeks and streams, in a tucked away place and often long distances. Inclement weather such as rain and snow make for slick conditions. One slip or fall can bump your sight easily ruining your hunt and hours of tuning. Carrying your bow while walking long distances can lead to upper body fatigue. For years, I have carried my bow by the string or awkwardly by the bow grip. CamBow bow sling by Alpine Innovations offers a solution to all these issues all while protecting your bow’s cams and string.

The CamBow bow sling has neoprene sleeves stretching over each cam of your bow. The sleeves are attached to an elastic band that stretches the length of the bow. The elastic band protects the bow string as well as your peep sight while entering your set up. CamBow stays attached to your bow by elastic bands that stretch from the cam sleeves to the end of the bow limbs.

The CamBow is designed to slip off the top bow limb while staying attached to the bottom limb allowing the user to shoot. A velcro fastener holds the CamBow to your bow’s bottom limb while the cam sleeves are off. Simply slide the cam covers off when preparing to shoot.

The CamBow can be worn over the shoulder, across the back, or held in your hand. The sling length of the CamBow can be adjusted for comfort. The CamBow allows the user to maintain balance while ascending and descending steep terrain. CamBow decreases upper body fatigue while walking long distances by allowing the bow to rest on the user’s shoulder instead of carrying by hand. Dragging harvested game out of the woods would be much simpler by having both hands free.

I found CamBow to be very comfortable while walking through the woods. CamBow stayed in place over my shoulder and did not slide down as some slings tend to do. The CamBow allowed for easy transition from carrying position to shooting position.

While testing the CamBow, I choose to walk up and down one of the steepest banks on our family property. The CamBow allowed me to navigate the terrain while having my arms and hands free to control my balance while climbing and coming down the bank. With the CamBow, I would have to sit my bow on the ground if I were in a position where I needed both hands to navigate the steep terrain.
