How many of you have had to run and change out a paper target every 15 round or so…or have to go and set your Skoal can or Coke can back up after shooting it down? I recently had the opportunity to Field test a new product. I can now shoot for hours without having to reload my target every time I reload my weapon.
The Target-Factory Target arrived on my doorstep and I immediately tore into it. What is a Target-Factory Target you ask?
It is a uniquely designed, durable target designed for ease of use. The lightweight frame allows my 8-year old son to carry it with ease. The long-lasting materials that the products are made of permits for hours of shooting without having to trade out for new targets every few minutes.
Recently, my family spent a Sunday afternoon on the back of the farm plinking away. We have a large variety of weapons to choose from and this particular day we decided on my son’s .22 Rossi, my Ruger 10/22, my husband’s AR-15 in a .223, my 9mm Ruger LC9, and my husband’s Springfield XD back up 9mm.
After loading up the kid, the weapons, and the target into the back of our ranger we set out to do some shooting. I was assured that this target would hold up under Lyman wear and tear and I was determined to prove them right! After several hours of the above arsenal brutally massacring the target, it remained basically like new! There are a few holes in them, but I still have several hours of target practice left in each one!
The 3’x3’ low-density polyethylene A-frame is similar to that of a sawhorse and folds flat for easy transport and storage. The quick set-up design and lightweight frame is still sturdy enough to allow my 88 pound, 8-year old son to perch on it simply because he wanted to. The drink bottle shaped targets made of low-density polyethylene hang from the cross rail by holding tubes. The Target-Bottles are available in 6 high-visibility colors and come with 12 holding tubes.
The company estimates that you should get between 200-300 shots on each target easily before having to replace it. The creator of this product indicated to me that you could obviously shoot out the “neck” section of the bottles–if you worked at it. Sounds to me as if it were a personal challenge.
I truly enjoy using this product and can see where it will come in handy when I often have women and children come over to learn how to shoot. Not only is it durable, fun to shoot, and its visibility makes it an “easy target” for beginners, but the product also offers enough challenge for more advanced shooters.
The MSRP for the Target-Frame is $179.99 or a Deluxe Frame for $199.99. A “six pack” of replacement bottles is $39.99 available in a variety pack of 6 vibrant colors or 6 hot pink targets.
