The 29th World Deer & Turkey Expo in Birmingham, Alabama was Ladies in Camo’s first expo. What a fantastic time we had meeting some of our fans, spreading the news about the great hunts on our calendar and selling LIC goods.
The show was a great success for LIC because of the weeks of dedication and preparation that went into it by everyone involved. Richard, affectionately known by most as “Mister”, put hard work, sweat and love into building a booth back made to order. In my opinion, he did a FANTASTIC job.
Michelle Harmes, LIC Web “Mistress” and Ed, her MacGeyvor-like husband from New York, spent many hours braiding the new line of Knotty Huntress survival bracelets, key chains and game lariats. Heather Lininger and her husband, Clint, were living the week by the seat of their pants in Missouri waiting on the arrival of Heather’s new niece, Braylee. Who, living up to the motto that women are ALWAYS late, did decide to finally introduce herself to the world…which in turn put Heather and Clint on the road late into the evening, arriving in Birmingham around midnight on Friday. Congratulations to the Yocom Family on their new arrival! Jeanne Peebles from Saraland, arriving in fine form and fashion, hit the expo floor ready to work.
Terry Garret from Rack Nine Outdoors, one of LIC’s preferred Outfitters, was a vital part in setting up the booth, greeting people, spreading the news about the great hunts we have at RNO and a big help in general. Collectively Richard, Terry and Clint were the “Grunt Force” at the expo and we could not have done it without them.
We had such a great time at the expo that we decided before we left that we were booking booths for the GON Outdoor Blast in Duluth, Georgia. So Ladies in Camo will be headed to Georgia next weekend for the GON Outdoor Blast (Booths 304 & 305) and then to Montgomery mid-August to the Buckmasters Expo (Booth 296). If you are going to either of these shows, please stop by the booth, check out what we have to offer and look over our hunts….we would love to visit with you.
Stop by booth 304 & 305 at The Outdoor Blast in Georgia and see LIC’s Missouri staff, Heather and Iowa staff, Billinda and I will be there on Saturday and Sunday. Take a minute to visit Rack Nine Outdoors in Booth 303, as well. Safe travels and we hope to see you in Georgia and/or Alabama.
